Food products were collected from the Nigerian states of Lagos,
Kaduna, and Adamawa from retail and grocery stores .These
products and types were selected on popularity among the
Nigerian people .The samples were then freeze dried and
pulverized into a fine powder. Dried food products were
subsequently homogenized . Powdered food samples were
prepared in 1.5 ml polyethylene vials .Each vial contained roughly
one-half gram of food sample.
