Pra, the maternal aunt of the mother
She mentioned that she is staying not very far from the house of the children and she is the younger sister of the maternal grandmother Gaw. She is selling fish for her own income since she is a widow with five children but she tried her best to look after the children as much as she could. She used to cook and clean for them when the parents were away and it was not so easy task for her as well. She is concerning for the children out of love and sympathy since they are also her blood relatives. She considered herself as the main caretaker to the children while the parents were away since other neighbors are also busy with their own family. Since the father was also working after he came back, she tried her best to look after the children when they were at home by themselves; especially for their food and hygiene. The other neighbors also did not ignore them.
Later in 2014, she mentioned that the father was drinking and she lately saw he was holding one of the younger children and almost dropped him from upstairs. She also opined that the father might use most of the money for his alcohol and he told the people that if they dared and to let him know if anyone went to complain at UNHCR about him and therefore, people are afraid of him. The father has been drinking since he came back to stay in the camp and the children appeared to be afraid of the father.
(The assessor could not meet her again since she was not at home most of the time.)
