The results of this study showed that feeding behavior of the dengue infectious blood fed-mosquitoes were significantly different from the normal blood fed-mosquitoes. The female Ae. oesypti infected with DENV-2 had a frequency of biting significantly higher than the non-infected mosquitoes. In addition, the infected mosquitoes had a shorter time period to successfully complete feeding than the non-infected mosquitoes. This study indicated that DENV-2 infection may influence the mosquito host-seeking and/or probing behavior, and plays the important role to enhance the transmission efficiency in mosquito Vector.
