Just for your information. Sleeping pack or sleeping mask is a kind of mask, which should stay on your face for the whole night and let your skin absorb all the goodness that it may bring. In the morning after, you have to wash your face and at that moment you should see that your skin is in a much better condition. Sleeping pack is often blessed with anti-aging or whitening ingredients, something fancy. I have personally tried several kinds of sleeping packs but honestly I really don’t realize any dramatically change on my face. I only consider it as a deep moisturizer for times my skin gets dry. That’s the only effect that I see for now. So if you are blessed with normal skin, you probably won’t need this. Or if you want something fun, a twist in your skincare routine, then try it. A little bit won’t do no harm.
It took me so long to write this review on Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Rice Sleeping Pack. Do you know why? I’ve tried this one for about month ago, right after I finished the other Capsule Recipe Pack Green Tea (you can read the review here). I was frustrated with the other one, so I told myself to move on. Maybe the Green Tea one is just a failure. Maybe other kinds won’t do that bad.

However, the first time I tried the Rice Sleeping Pack, I was also not very happy about it. It was weird. I’ve had several sleeping packs in my life and those are always a clear gel. When I saw this white half cream-half gel-like pack, I asked myself: Is it really a sleeping pack? Did they mistake? It looks more like a wash-off mask. Has it gone bad? (I’ve just had it for 3 months). Hmmm, despite of those thoughts I still tried it on my face. The white color didn’t really turn into a clear color. Or to say it did, but it left some white kind of residue on my face, like I’ve been collecting dirt for years. Look at the picture and you will understand what I mean.

It looks crazy rite???? I was worried if it would make my pillows dirty and if I’d have to wash them everytime after I used it. Fortunately, it didn’t happen that way. After like half an hour playing with the computer, I realized that those looking like dirt thing disappeared completely and left my face look like a normal person again!!! I was wondering if it is just this one pack that’s like this. So I didn’t write the review right away. I used it up and opened another pack. It turned out that the other pack was totally fine. No clumps. Pheww, maybe the first one was not properly stored before it got its way to me.
A small pack can last you several uses. I didn’t count but it shouldn’t be less than 6. Because it is a sleeping pack, you don’t need that much of an amount that you normally need for wash-off pack or massage cream. At first my impression wasn’t really good so I wanted to try it more to see if I would change my mind. But no.
The pack smells pretty good, like rice pudding, a mix of rice and steamed milk. It is truly very relaxing and I enjoy that a lot. In the morning after, my skin feels very very smooth, well moisturized. But sadly, if you chose this because of the promising whitening effect, then you would be disappointed. I saw no brightening effect, even right after cleansing my face. So,… don’t expect too much with this.
I surely will not repurchase this one since it didn’t fulfill my need. This remarks the second disappointing Innisfree product that I have ever tried.
