This is really a two-hour presentation I give to high school students, cut down to 3 minutes. And all search on the 1 day of the plan, on my way to TED 7 years ago. And then I see next new the high school teenagers, and she came from the really poor family, and she wanted to make something in real life, and she asked me simple little question, she said, "What leads to success?" I feel really badly because I couldn't give her really good answer. So I get a lot of plan to come to TED. I think, 'jeez, I'm in the middle of the room is successes people.' So I only ask some one help done succeed and past it onto kids. So here we are "7 years, 500 interviews" letter. And I'm gonna tell you what really leads to success, and make test just take. And the first thing is "PASSION." Freeman Thomas said, "I'm driven by my passion." Test just do it for lovely, not do it for money. Can I called it I would pay someone to do what I do. Needed to just some thing do for love the money comes anywhere. "WORK," Rupert Merdoch said that "It's all hard work. Nothing comes easily. But I have a lot of fun." That he said "fun," Rupert? Yes! Tester still have fun working and then work hard. I forget do now work aholics to work a florlics. "GOOD," Alex Garden said, "To be successful put your nose down in something and get damn good at it." There's no magic is practice, practice, practice. An as "FOCUS," Norman Jewson said, "I think it all has to do with focusing yourself to one thing." And "PUSH," David Gallo said, "Push yourself. Physically, mentally, you gotta push, push, push. You gonna push your shyness and self-doubt. Goldie Hawn said, "I always had self-doubts. I wasn't good enough, wasn't smart enough. I didn't think I'd make it, and it's not always easy to push yourself that's while he invented mother." Frank Gehry said to me, "My mother pushed me." "SERVE," Sherwin Nuland said, "It was a privilege to serve as a doctor." Not a lot of TEDster tried to be a millionaire, an the first thing what I say that is, "Okay, we can serve yourself." You'll get to serf something of value, because of the way people really get rich. "IDEAS," TEDster to Bill Gate said, "I had an idea--founding the first micro-computer software company." I said, "That was a good idea." And I just know magic to created the company to come to put idea and just do something in the simple things, and I give lots of inhabiteds. "PERSIST," Joe Kraus said, "Persistence is the nuber one reason for uor success." you got the persist to failer, you got persist to CRAP, which you corse mean, "criticism, rejection, assholes, and pressure." So the began the answer of this questions is simple. Pay for a thousand buy to come to TED. Or feeling that do the 8 things, and trust me these is the biggest things to leads to success. Thank you TEDster for our literature.
