The experiment was set up as a completely randomized design
(CRD) with three treatment levels (control: 0.0 mgL

). A total of 60 plants per treatment
were randomly assigned to locations on two side-by-side
growth benches and allowed to establish for 7 days before commencing
treatment applications. Three harvests were made in
which 20 plants per treatment were randomly selected for destructive
analysis. Harvests were made after the 7-day establishment
period but prior to treatment initiation (initial), and at days 21
and 49 after treatments commenced. Treatments were applied on
a daily basis between 08:30 and 10:30. After the harvest at Day 21
the remaining plants were evenly spaced to reduce crowding as the
plants matured.
