This letter is being provided to all Disney licensees and vendors currently authorized to produce Disney-branded products
in this facility. As a courtesy, this letter is also being provided to licensees and vendors that have applied for authorization
to produce in this facility.
In accordance with the License Agreement and/or Memorandum of Understanding, Pimdee Co Ltd (FAC-048667), located
in Samutsakhon, Thailand, was audited on 2016/Feb/01.
Results of this audit indicate that this facility does not meet Disney's Minimum Compliance Standard (MCS)
under the Code of Conduct for Manufacturers.
MCS VIOLATIONS - MUST BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY
The MCS violations identified below must be corrected immediately. Failure to take the necessary corrective
action will result in the loss of authorization to produce Disney-branded merchandise at this facility.
1. Health and Safety
Fire & Emergency Safety
a. Insufficient number of required emergency exits per legal or Code requirement.
NON-MCS VIOLATIONS - SHOULD BE ADDRESSED PROMPTLY
The following is a list of all non-MCS violations of the Disney Code of Conduct. All non-MCS code violations should be
corrected promptly as part of our continuing effort to improve working conditions.
1. Health and Safety
Medical & First Aid
a. Eye wash stations are not installed or do not function properly.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
a. Employees are not provided with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or do not wear them properly.
Fire & Emergency Safety
a. Smoke detectors are not installed, do not function properly, insufficiently powered or obstructed.
b. Functioning sprinkler systems are not installed where required.
Machine & Electrical Safety
a. Machines are not properly maintained and/or lack the proper maintenance records.
Hazardous Material
a. A hazardous chemical study/analysis has not been conducted.
b. Chemical emergency plans and emergency drills including related safety training have not been established.
c. The facility does not notify the list of hazardous chemicals and details of safety information on hazardous
chemicals to local authority as required.
d. Explosion-proof lights or electrical devices are not installed where chemicals are used or stored.
Other
a. Safety committee members do not receive course training as required.
2. Protection of Environment
• Hazardous waste containers are not properly stored or labelled.
As the licensee/vendor, it is your responsibility to ensure that all MCS violations are remediated immediately as a condition
of continued use of this facility. All other violations should be addressed promptly.
Failure to remedy MCS violations in accordance with this letter will result in the loss of authorization to produce
Disney-branded merchandise at this facility.
Disney will conduct a follow-up audit approximately 90 days from the date of this letter. If MCS violations are
identified during the follow-up audit, ALL licensees and vendors will be required to cease Disney-branded production
at this facility promptly and remove all inventory from this facility (not to exceed 30 days following notification by Disney
or otherwise required by law). Thereafter, the facility will be ineligible for Disney-branded production for 12
months following revocation of authorization by Disney.
As a reminder, you must obtain authorization from Disney before commencing Disney-branded production in this facility,
as evidenced by receipt of a signed FAMA form from Disney.
