by DAFWA in collaboration with BOI
The Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA) and The Office of Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) are working together to attract new investment to grow the beef industry in Western Australia and Thailand. BOI is currently promoting foreign investment by Australian companies looking to expand their businesses into South East Asia. DAFWA, through the Northern Beef Futures project, are identifying and establishing new business models that are integrated and aligned with new markets and supply chains to attract integrated WA beef industry investment. South East Asia has a combined domestic market of over 600 million people and has become the single market of the ASEAN Economic Community in early 2016.
Thailand is ideally located as a leading economy in the region and gateway into China, India, Myanmar (Burma), Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. Come and hear what Australian business people have to say about “doing business in Thailand” and what incentives the BOI has to offer foreign direct investors. Learn more about Northern Beef Futures work in creating opportunities in the WA-ASEAN beef supply chain. The BOI will be represented by one of its most senior executives from the Thai government in Bangkok. A half day seminar will be held at DAFWA theatrette South Perth for the agribusiness sector and Australian companies looking to expand into Thailand and the ASEAN region.
