2.7. Application on wine samples
To test the practicability of the multiplex PCR system for identification of LAB, 21 different wine samples (see 2.2) were investigated. Colony forming units of bacterial cells were determined by plating on TJM agar containing cycloheximide (0.01%) and potassium sorbate (0.067%). One and ten ml of each sample were used for extraction of DNA which was utilised in the following multiplex PCR, as described in 2.6.
