Human Settlements and Socioeconomic
Transformations; a Cause-Effect Relationship: The
development of human settlements has always been an
effect of changes in the socioeconomic status of the
society at that time. Fourastie and Gross identified the
structural transformations in various countries during the
last three centuries. Fourastie (1963) stressed that the
ongoing era of industrialization is in fact a transitory
period—through which the society has transformed from
traditional status to the tertiary civilization. The detailed
