Forty-day old tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum P. Miller var. LFZ-
3) seedlings were transplanted in pots (33 cm in diameter, 25 cm in
depth) filled with 12.5 kg of air-dried soil per pot on May 1, 2007.
The inside of all pots was evenly separated into two containers
with plastic sheets sealed in the middle such that water exchange
among the containers was prevented.
