The results of this study showed that antenna positions have a major influence over RFID readability at 915 MHz, but
readings at 433 MHz were not dependent of antenna positioning for commercially available RFID readers. RF propagation
inside a metal environment is highly influenced by the frequency used. The 433 MHz RFID system tested appears suitable
for real time temperature monitoring of frozen bread inside a sea container. This technology could be applied to other food
items similar to frozen bread.
