The maximum recorded distance between a new incident
and the nearest risk location is 1.17 miles; and the shortest
recorded distance is 0.011 mile - about 17 meters.
Out of 84 incidents and given that the weighted risk values
are between 0 and 1:
• 63% of incidents occurred around locations that have risk
values >= 0.5
• 37% of incidents occurred around locations that have risk
values < 0.5
Those results suggest that high risk level locations undergo
higher number of incidents.
Finally, our current prediction methodology works well
when there is high frequency of incidents in a location. In case
no incident occurs in a location for a long period of time, the
analyst can use warning signs data to estimate the risk levels.
A this point, we have not evaluated our system using warning
signs data.
