Dear Chai and Na,
As we continue to grow we need to recognise our management needs.
The three of us have operated, efficiently but using a family style management for all these years. We now have to graduate to more professional management if we are to continue to grow.
We must start hiring highly trained and experienced professional managers. Tomorrow I will interview the ex-manager of Harmless Harvest’s operations in Thailand. I think it is critical that we hire him.
I am also looking for a group CEO who can pull in all the operations we have under one system.
We should also employ a senior agronomist who can begin to optimise our crops production. We will depend more and more on crops but do not have an in-house superior capability in agronomy. Only field operations.
Remember, all these positions’ costs will be shared by at least 3 companies.
