A man has been charged after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death at a home at Wagga Wagga in southern New South Wales.
The teenager, a Year 11 Kooringal High School student, suffered fatal wounds about 8:00pm on Tuesday in the suburb of Kooringal.
Police said they were told a man fled the area in a stolen car, and a 29-year-old man was later arrested in the farming area of Big Springs, south of Wagga Wagga.
The man was taken to hospital for checks before being released into police custody.
He has since been charged with murder and aggravated break and enter, and he is expected to appear in court later today.

Acting Superintendent Andrew Spliet said the accused man was known to the boy, but was neither a relative nor a resident of the house where the boy's body was found.
"The matter is currently getting investigated under Strike Force Norlyn, which is being investigated by our local detectives with the assistance of the State Homicide Squad," he said.
Acting Superintendent Spliet said police were not looking for any other suspects, but they were searching for a weapon, including in a nearby park.
"We've spoken to a number of people in relation to this matter and they're obviously providing information to us," he said.
"Currently we've got police up at the location examining the crime scenes and we're still making a number of inquiries in relation to apparent weapons and so forth."
Kooringal High School has made counselling available for students.
