2.3. Water supply system
Melt water flow for soil erosion experiments was supplied by a
water tank and a controllable flow peristaltic pump. Tailor-made
water tank had a wide enough opening to fill the ice cubes as
conveniently as possible and an outlet to supply sufficient rate of
water flow. The temperature of melt water flow was controlled at
0 °C as determined by the ice water mixture. By this method, the
water was always maintained at approximate 0 °C to simulate the
temperature of melt water flow.
