Our class resumes Thursday and Friday regular schedule, and this week’s topic touches on the power of “WE” over “ME or I.” Theoretically speaking, “We” represent the entire group of 2 or more people while “I” only represent “ourselves,” just me alone, which carries weaker support. Everyone is supposed to give me a situation where using “WE” is more appropriate. In a family, workplace, society, organizations, or wherever human beings exist, we put a strong force on a place that lives by rules.
For example, “We do not want you to yell across the table, while we all are having dinner!, do you understand?”, said a mother. We live by and need to hang on to the rules set by our family, and the situation given is pretty obvious to discern that those people at the table, most likely your parents, tell you not to yell while eating, not just your father or mother alone but both or more.
Another situation, let’s say the company wanted us to help conserve energy, so everyone were obligated to stick with the campaign asking to disconnect computers before going home. By only you collaborating on this isn’t enough, so they’re gonna need to have as many people as possible to reinforce the campaign. The company finally can save up to thousands of dollars a year.
