My mother has been a resident here for 1 1/2 years. She is a nisei, second generation Japanese American. There is a Japanese as well as western menu offered daily for lunch and dinner. The food is excellent, with a sushi chef in charge of the kitchen. Her room is spacious enough to have the entire family over to celebrate and visit. The management team is professional and contientious. There are activities all day long. Daily exercise, cooking class, bingo, origami, crafts, and card games. A movie theatre and small gym are on site, as is a weekly hairdresser. Twice a week field trips keep residents active and engaged. The care staff is kind and hardworking. The central Japanese garden creates a beautiful environment, with many windows and a solarium the grounds are especially attractive.
