Criteria for answering Reading Question-Getting a higher grade.
1. Make sure you have read and understood the context of the reading or at least have a good gist of the reading.
2. Make sure you understand the question. This will enable you to write, more focused, structured answers.
3. Shows an awareness and understanding of key reading material.
4. Your answers should be coherent.
5. Your answers should have a combination of simple, compounds and complex sentences. This makes your answers more interesting.
6. Make sure you answer the questions-DO NOT RAMBLE!
7. Ensure your answers are short and to the point. No need to be “wordy” Less is more.
8. Standards of English should be good and understood by the reader. If the reader(me)finds it difficult to read the context-you will lose marks.
9. If it asks for examples, please provide them.
10. At no time should you stray from the question.
