Soy flour (Defatted Soy flour number 063-130) with 52% protein was obtained from Archer Daniels Midland
Company (Decatur, IL). Glycerol is used as the plasticizer for soy flour and was obtained from J.T. Baker (Phillipsburg,
NJ). The polyester amide (BAK 1095) was obtained from Bayer Corp. (Pittsburgh, PA). Pineapple leaf fiber was
purchased from India. Polyester amide grafted glycidyl methacrylate (PEA-g-MA) was used as compatibilizer in
this system, which is already described by the authors in a previous study
