In 1955 radio stations in Chicago were not allowed to play any rhythm and blues music.

In the nineties, a record store chain made a big mistake when it placed a sticker on one of Frank Zappa’s albums. The sticker said that nobody under the age of 18 could buy the record because of the “dirty lyrics .” All the tracks on the alums were instrumental!
