Hezbollah’s Surprise Attack Nets 28 Jabhat Al-Nusra Casualties in the Qalamoun Mountains -
On Wednesday morning, a Hezbollah contingent laid a surprise attack on the militants from the Al-Nusra Front, killing 28 confirmed enemy combatants near the town of Rankous.
The National Defense Forces (NDF) and Hezbollah targeted an agglomeration of Al-Nusra militants in the towns of Ras Al-Ma’arat and ‘Assal Al-Ward, killing 11 confirmed enemy combatants and confiscating their heavy armory.
In the East Ghouta, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard continued their operations west of the Al-Wafadeen Refugee Camp after unearthing a large tunnel in this area in Rif Douma.
South of Douma, the SAA’s 4th Mechanized Division made its way through the rugged terrain of Kafr Batna, destroying a "Army of Islam" hideout inside the town and killing 9 of their militants.
