The seeds of C. juncea were purchased from the local market and
were identified morphologically by Prof. N.K. Dubey, Department of
Botany, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and voucher specimen
(PCRL-41) was deposited in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Research Lab, Department of Pharmaceutics, Institute of
Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi for the future
reference. Seeds were pulverized to course crude powder and were
stored in air tight containers at room temperature till the extraction.
