Economic development may diversify local livelihoods, but may also place new demands on limited local resources (Ghosh, 2012) and induce socio-cultural changes to communities (Lovelock et al., 2010). Therefore, the achievement of sustainability, encompassing economic, socio-cultural and environmental dimensions, is one of the key challenges of island tourism management (Fleming and Cook, 2008 and Cave and Brown, 2012).
