The values observed in this study are below those observed by Tsavkelova et al. (2007b). This may be due to the lower amount of L-tryptophan added to the medium, as proposed by Tsavkelova et al. (2006). The increased root development values observed in this study exceed those observed by Galdiano Jr et al. (2011), whose obtained the best value of 39.28 % increase in dry weight. Promoted growth makes use of root dry weight to be properly established, but the presence of water is interesting for analyzing how the plant will be susceptible during acclimatization (Guerra et al. 1999).
