The cationic property of the chitos

The cationic property of the chitosan and chitosan/Ag complex in an acidic medium enables electrochemical precipitation of the coatings on a metal substrate thus providing a simple process to fabricate antibacterial coatings on medical devices. In this work, chitosan/Ag complex coatings are prepared on biomedical NiTi alloys by electrochemical deposition with the aim to enhance the surface antibacterial activity.
