Undertale creator Toby Fox has prom

Undertale creator Toby Fox has promised that he’ll have another game coming up, and he told his fans that it might arrive sooner than people think. Fox’s Twitter account doesn’t have updates, so he might be working on another game now. Here’s what we know so far about “Undertale 2” or Toby Fox’s upcoming game.

Fox promised that he’ll make another game after Undertale when the hit indie game was still in the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. The next game will also have the same theme, with its nature “shrouded in darkness.” Last December 2015, Fox tweeted about his Kickstarter promise of another game, which probably marks the beginning of either “Undertale 2” or his new project. However, we can only wait for Fox to discuss or release the upcoming game as it may also have a “surprise hit” charm similar to Undertale.

Fans speculate that the upcoming game may be linked with the unexplained elements in Undertale’s story such as the children before the main character’s arrival and Gaster’s existence in the game. Meanwhile, last month, Fox posted a picture of himself with Itoi Shigesato and others. Earthbound, the main inspiration for Undertale’s charm and concepts, was created by Shigesato. Nobody knows why Shigesato and Fox met up, but it could be possible that they discussed more game design and concepts similar to Earthbound, or both of them are working on Fox’s next game. The other people with Fox and Shigesato may be the team for Toby’s upcoming game. We might be able to see a more refined reference to Earthbound in Fox’s game or even a possible sequel to the original Earthbound series.
