improve their awareness and capacity of self-care,
modify their lifestyles, prevent asthma exacerbation,
enhance their compliance and adherence to medical advices, achieve and maintain asthma control,
and reduce future risks associated with their condition.
Community-based asthma education programs are complementary to hospital-based medical services.
Prevention and health-caring of asthma at the community level should be integrated with the treatment and diagnosis provided by general practitioners.
