The family that controls the Pum Pui canned sardine and seafood empire is embroiled in a bitter feud with the oldest brother trying to oust a younger brother.
Sutham Tohtubtiang, the oldest brother of the Tohtubtiangs family, yesterday alleged at a press conference that his younger brother, Surin, had turned against the family and was abusing his power within the company.
Mr Sutham, who said he represented nine siblings, accused Mr Surin of removing the siblings from the board of the Trang-based Kuang Holding Co, a family firm which holds shares in Kuang Pei San Food Products Plc, the manufacturer of the Pum Pui brand.
