Mint continues to make good progress and is learning vital skills and techniques that she must
adopt to ensure that the standard of her work constantly improves. I am delighted that more
recently she has produced individual studies which are her best work to date using wax resist
media in response to the Stowe landscape. It is a fine line between expressive landscape studies
and flat, random marks that do not so readily describe the subject matter even in an abstract
way. Mint's ability to evaluate her own work and objectively question if each step is successful or
could be improved is essential. This will come with further practise and an output that gives her
options. The final piece will be started next term and therefore dictate that she will need to further
her visual research to ensure greater success
