Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) is a sys- temic, dysfunctional inflammatory response that requires long intensive care unit (ICU) stay and has high mortality rate of 27% - 100% depending on the number of organs involved [1-3]. However, there is no gold standard scor- ing system for MODS and also, the available registries and studies are not enough to understand, diagnose or predict the occurrence of MODS across the different types of ICUs.
