The results obtained in the assessment of the physiological quality of seed from the different soybean cultivar clearly revealed, statistically significant differences between the cultivars. Seed lots 1 and 2 presented greater physiological potential in the tests emergence in the field, germination (final count), electric conductivity, tetrazolium (1-5) and seedling length (tables 2 and 3). Other seed lots ranked highly in some of the tests. Tetrazolium (1-5) indicated that seed lots 3 and 5 had the best performance and tetrazolium (1-3) showed seed lot 1 with the best quality, as did the accelerated aging test. In the first count of the germination test, seed lots 2 and 3 presented the best performance, while the best results in the modified cold test were obtained by seeds in seed lot 2 (tables 2 and 3).
