This is a senior sales position responsible for growing unit sales of Macs and iPads to education institutions. This is not just about selling the device. Apple’s education team believes in helping schools transform teaching and learning by leveraging our incredible ecosystem of products and services. There will be a particular emphasis on the successful candidate being able to successfully acquire new school relationships for Apple and capture the majority share of schools that go 1:1.
Key Qualifications
Outstanding presentation and story telling skills
At least 10 years of work experience in account management, with 4 years of selling into the Thailand Education space
A high level of user proficiency with Apple products is preferred
An understanding and empathy of the challenges faced by school principals, teachers, and administrators
End-user and channel sales experience with proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota
Experience leading a high performing team, either as a people manager or v-team leader
Description
The ideal candidate will possess a quantifiable record of success in sales to education institutions, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals. Possess a solution-based approach to solving customer problems and must understand complex sales cycles, build consensus throughout multiple levels of the organisation, and be adept at developing relationships at executive levels. Work effectively with other members of the virtual team within Apple and partner community to revenue goals and other key performance indicators. The ability to prospect and manage a territory, as well as develop new business in competitive situations, is essential. Articulate and present Apple’s education message. Demonstrate the value proposition of the Apple ecosystem and technology to education leaders. Develop and implement action plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets and product mix goals through systematic sales calls on current and potential new customers to build a strong pipeline. Develop account plans to meet the objectives of the customer and Apple, that drive high-levels of customer satisfaction, and build deep and long-term relationships with education decision makers and teachers. Establish and manage close working relationship with Apple’s education re-sellers to develop the partners’ sales effectiveness and maximise sale of Apple products to schools. Work with Marketing and the broader Thailand education team on quarterly education activities. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts.
Education
Tertiary qualifications and experience in a related discipline (eg Education, Information Technology) will be highly regarded.
