Early Conciliation Notifications
Important Notice: This page provides access for people wanting to notify Acas of their intention to make a tribunal claim and for employers who would like to explore settlement in an effort to avoid a tribunal claim being made against them. Submitting an Early Conciliation Notification is part of a legal process so please read the guidance material on Early Conciliation before you submit the form.
If you are involved in a dispute at work, Acas' Early Conciliation service can help you settle your differences by agreement rather than through a tribunal hearing. From 6 May 2014 the law says that you have to notify Acas first (for nearly all types of claim) before you make a claim to an Employment Tribunal, but Early Conciliation is being made available from 6th April. Acas can offer help to both the claimant and their employer to settle differences out of court. You can find detailed guidance on Early Conciliation here: Early Conciliation Explained

If you want to make a tribunal claim you must notify Acas first. You can do this with the online Early Conciliation Notification form, found here:
