If you lodged your application online, you can check the progress of your application from your ImmiAccount. This can be accessed via the department’s website at www.immi.gov.au
I need to provide supporting documentation for my application
Providing supporting documents via your ImmiAccount is generally preferred. Where the Department has specifically requested further documents or information from you, this request will include instructions on how they should be provided. It will also include contact details if further clarification is required.
Has my visa been approved?
If you applied online or nominated an email address on your application form, all correspondence regarding visa processing will be sent to that email address. If approved, a visa grant notification will also be sent to your nominated email address. Check your spam filters and folders to ensure that email originating from immi.gov.au is not classified as spam. Grant correspondence for electronically lodged visas is also accessible via your ImmiAccount
My personal details have changed or are incorrectly recorded
It is important that you tell us about any changes to your circumstances including your name, passport, contact details or email address as soon as possible. You are required to do this in writing by using form 929 available from the department’s website at: www.immi.gov.au
My visa has expired
Visas cannot be extended. If your visa has expired and you want to come back to or remain in Australia, you must apply for another visa that suits the purpose of your visit. General information on Australia's visa options and requirements is available on the Department’s website at: www.immi.gov.au
Checking visa conditions or entitlements
Your visa conditions and entitlements can be found through the department's Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) service. VEVO is a free, online facility that allows an individual or an organisation to check the visa entitlements of a visa holder (with the visa holder’s permission).
