Our results show that the dietary vitamin E requirement based on the WG data is
approximately 62.5 IU/kg for the fish fed lipids oxidized to POVof 98 meq/kg. This value
is similar to the dietary requirement E requirement determined by Shiau and Shiau (2001)
for fish fed similar diet with un-oxidized oils. Apparently, the oxidized oil in diets does not
increase the dietary vitamin E requirement of hybrid tilapia.
