Also, a special multi-threaded GUI (Graphical User
Interface) has been also developed by using the newest,
cutting-edge technologies used in 3D visualization includ-
ing Microsoft Game Studio 3.1 and .NET Framework 3.5
(see Fig. 3). These state-of-the-are tools allowed keeping
the computation requirements at a relatively low level
ensuring that the most processor time will be dedicated
to the data analysis. In the GUI, a digitalised model of the
real environment is built up and calibrated including the
robot and the workbench where the measurement will
take place. The model can be also imported into the
workspace and a special algorithm automatically calcu-
