Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has become a
popular treatment for recurrent Clostridium difficile infection
(CDI) in all age groups.1,2 A recent systematic review
has shown a high resolution rate of 92%.3 In addition, it
has been successfully explored for other indications like
ulcerative colitis.4 In their recent article, Mattila et al
reported their experience with using FMT through
colonoscopy in successful eradication of recurrent CDI.5
Others used FMT via nasogastric tube and retention enemas.2,6
