The qualitative data comes from a longitudinal study between 2011-2014 in upper secondary science and technology education focusing on girls’ views on STEM education and careers by having them involved in out of
school experiences. Activities like visits on STEM workplaces and to meet female role models were at the heart of
the project. 101 girls were involved from four different schools. The data were collected by the use of open question
questionnaires and interviews.
