As a
novel approach, the synthesized nano PAni was incubated with
APTES to obtain terminal NH2 functional groups. This functional
nano PAni was then electrodeposited onto the working area of a
carbon screen printed electrode. This proposed sensor has a more
robust and stable platform because of the strong covalent
amide linkage (between –carboxylate group of the biomolecule
and –amine group of the modified PAni) it can form with the desired biomolecule component. The screen printed carbon
electrode modified with functional nano PAni was further
incubated with a solution of anti-atrazine antibody to form a
biosensor for the detection of atrazine.
