Citisaizens of Asean nations will be able to travel to Myanmar without a visa by the end of this year,according to Mari Elka Pangestu,Indonesia's tourism minister."Four of us (Myanmar,Indonesia,the Philippines,Cambodia)have signed a contract on 'smart tourism' ,which will allow more use of electronic [documents]and also third parties to help you get a visa.We would like to support the continued effort of the region to have a common smart visa system ,''she said on the sidelines of the world Economic Forum on East Asia in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.The next stage,she said,would be to allow visitors from non-Asean countries to travel within Asean freely.This could start from a few Asean countries and then expand later.
