In the United States, wireless web surveys are used more often than text message surveys. As compared to text messaging, the web facilitates a continuous session, with no time delay between questions and receipt of responses. Wireless web surveys tend to be cheaper for both the recipient and administrator of the survey. Wireless web surveys also permit some functionality associated with CATI and Internet surveys to be used, including conditional branching and display of images. When CATI abilities are added to wireless web surveys, the result is called CAMI, or computer aided mobile interviewing Mobile surveys can be combined with pictures, audio clips, and videos taken by respondents. The images can be collected and linked to survey responses.
