Chaichana Mitrpant is the Assistant Executive Director of ETDA - Electronic Transactions Development Agency (Public Organization) in the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Thailand. At the ETDA he is involved in the development of information technology law for the Kingdom of Thailand such as the Electronic Transaction Act and The Royal Decree Regulating Electronic Payment Service Business and Computer Crime Act. Prior to joining the ETDA he has held several lead positions in the Ministry of Science and Technology in departments such as IT Security Infrastructures and Services, Digital Forensics, RFID Development Programs and Cryptographic Research and Applications. He has also been involved in a number of national projects such as Thailand’s Smart Card and Public Key Infrastructure Implementation, Government Public Key Infrastructure Development and the Electronic Transactions Act, among others. Mr. Mitrpant has PhD in Engineering from the University Duisburg-Essen in Germany.
