Electro-oxidation of DA in aqueous solution involves
one step two-electron transfer to generate o-dopaminoquinone
(o-DQ) [6,7]. In solution with pH > 5, a chemical
reaction following the electrochemical oxidation occurs
and leads to an intramolecular addition product leucodopaminochrome
(LDC) [7]. In order to prevent LDC formation,
pH 4 phosphate buffer solution was selected for the
study of the intermolecular addition reaction of o-DQ with
ABSA.
