It isn't easy to emigrate to Australia. It took us nearly two months to move out of our house in Toronto and into our new home in Brisbane. We arrived in Brisbane at the beginning of February, but had to wait until the end of March for all our belongings to get here. They were all packed into a container and transported by truck and by ship. While we were waiting we started new jobs, found a school for our son, Timmy, and bought a car and three bicycles.
so why did we come here? First of all, life is so relaxed and people so much time outside.Everyone walks around with a smile on their face. The sun comes up early in the morning and is almost always shining. The Gold Coast, with some of the best beaches in the world, is only an hour away. There is a man-made beach by the side of the river right in the center of the city, too.
Australia is fantastic for food lovers. People have barbecues on the beaches and in the parks and there are excellent markets all over the city. There are lots of migrants from all over Asia and that means a great choice of restaurants.
The only thing we don't like about Australia is the insects. Mosquitoes come out as soon as it gets dark and we the open air. He can learn to surf and dive and can eat bananas that grow in our garden
