The influence of nickel incorporation on the structure and catalytic behavior of Cu-catalyst for catalytic wet peroxide
oxidation of quinoline under microwave irradiation was investigated. The Cu-catalyst and Cu/Ni-catalyst
were prepared by wet impregnation method and characterized using XRD, BET, SEM-EDX, ICP-AES, XPS techniques
and the test results display that after the Ni incorporation, Cu can present better dispersion and smaller
size and the amount of chemisorbed oxygen of the catalyst surface can be improved. After the Ni incorporation,
the catalytic behavior of Cu/Ni-catalyst could be enhanced by about 20%. Leaching tests indicate that the Ni incorporation
also could be enhanced the stability of Cu-catalyst.
