Fresh leaves of C. odorata were collected from different
locations of Mysore (12.18 N– 76.42 E, 770 m above sea level),
Karnataka, India, during 2007-2008. The plant was identified
taxonomically and authenticated at the Herbarium, in University of
Mysore, Mysore. Fresh leaves were washed thoroughly 2-3 times
with running tap water and then with sterile water followed by shadedried,
powdered and
used for extraction.
