Attraction Details : The highlight of KohPhayarm is Yai Bay (Large) which is to the South West. Living up to its name, Yai Bay has a large semi circular shoreline of over 4 kilometers. During low tides Yai Bay offers visitors with a beautiful white sand beach with fine sand that is soft to stroll on. The color of the sand is mixed between yellow and grey which forms an attractive layer-like effect at dawn.
The beaches on Yai Bay is divided into 2 parts, the first has a small canal flowing through while the other is KhaoKwai (buffalo horn beach) which is about 2 kilometers in length. Its name is adopted from its significant shape which is the joining of 2 beaches. KhaoKwai beach still offers visitors a serene and natural beauty. Although it has gained popularity through the years but its peacefulness still remain.
KhaoKwai Beach comprises of the North and Southern end where the sand is white and very fine to one end and pinkish to the other end. The pink shade on the sand is formed from little seashells and sediments lying on top of one another. To the very end of KhaoKwai Beach locates KhaoTalu which is another highlight. On KohTalu visitor could eaily sea the Buddha Image which is located to the other side of the island. The reason KohTalu is given the name is because it is a small hill with an eroded channel. Visitors could easily slide in and out for creative photography.
