Krishnamurthy and Patwardhan (1971) purified malic enzyme(ME) from mango pulp and Krishnamurthy, Patwardhan,and Subramanyam (1971) monitored activity of this enzyme during Pairi mango ripening, while Dubery,Van Rensburg, and Schabort (1984) studied ME activity in Haden mangoes and found the highest activity just before the climacteric peak.
