Abstract:TheimpacttoughnessofENGGJSG400G18GLTductileironwasmeasuredbyCharpyVGnotchimpacttestat
temperaturebetween-80and20℃.Thefracturepropertiesweretestedunderinstrumentedimpactloading.Total
impactfractureenergy,crackinitiationandpropagationenergy,dynamicloadsandtheductiletobrittletemperature
weremeasured.ThreeGdimensionalreconstructionofimpactfracturemorphologywasaccomplishedbyconfocallaser
scanningmicroscope.Theresultsofquantitativefractographyindicatethatcleavagefractureproducesflatterfracture
surfacesaccompanyingwithlessabsorbedenergyduringtheimpactfractureprocess.ItindicatesthatfractureroughG
nesshasacloserelationshipwithcrackpropagationenergyatlowtemperature.
